The garage floor takes more punishment than any other slab in the house, and it is usually the only one left bare. Coating it turns dusting, staining concrete into a sealed garage floor that cleans up and looks finished. We have installed more than 14,000 garage floors since 1999.

Maintenance is low: keep grit swept off, because grit under a tire is what abrades a garage floor coating, and red clay comes in on every set of tires in the Upstate.
Preparation decides whether a garage floor lasts, and it is where roll-on kits fail. We do a full mechanical prep by diamond grinding so the epoxy keys into the slab rather than sitting on top of it. The grinders run under vacuum extraction to keep dust down in an attached garage.
Cracks, pitting and divots are repaired before coating, and a damp slab starts with a moisture-tolerant penetrating primer. Then the garage floor goes down in sequence: primer, base coat, flake broadcast, polyaspartic clear coat. The install runs over two consecutive days.
Greenwood is the county seat of Greenwood County, 51 miles down US 25 from Greenville and 8 miles from the nearest shore of Lake Greenwood. It has grown very little in twenty years, from 22,071 people at the 2000 census to 22,545 at the 2020 census across 10,024 housing units, so most garages here belong to houses that are decades old rather than to new subdivisions.
That changes the job. An older garage slab has had time to crack, pit and dust, so in Greenwood the work more often starts with crack and pitting repair and a moisture-tolerant primer than it would in a newer town. Newer garages on the edges of town and the lake houses out toward Lake Greenwood are more often a straight grind, prime and coat, where the decision is which flake blend you want. We look at the slab before quoting either way.
